    The Ugly One Monster Mystery

No doubt this one will be explained soon enough, but I thought I'd post it anyway.

A snaggle-toothed, furry creature with a bald face and a rats tale has mystified natives in northern Ontario, but they have a name and a history for it.

The elders used to see it a long time ago, the manager of Sams Store in Big Trout Lake told the Star on Friday.

No one has seen one for 40 years or so. The elders have a word for it: omajinaakoos. In English, it means the ugly one.

Well its name is spot on

but i highly doubt its a "Waterlogged Bear cub". Sure, after being waterlogged for a long period of time the body is going to become dissorted, but not to the extent of where its jaws are currently at (mainly the lower jaw + fangs). Not to mention, the article only mentions how the head is bald while everywhere else is filled with fur, you'd think that the balding process (whatever it may be) would be in other spots or atleast begin to develop in other areas. I'v also never heard of a waterlogged body growing a large "rat like tail".

That would be neat if it's a real new species. Looks like a Wolverine to me. Maybe had a disease which manifested into some skin conditions, and eventually led to hair loss. Wolverines have long tails, they hunt Otters and Beavers as well.
