    More Britons Consider Emigrating

    Reuters

Almost three-quarters of Britons have considered emigrating this year, with Australia as the most popular destination, according to a new survey ... About one in ten of the 1,029 people surveyed said that a change in the pace of life was the main reason they wanted to emigrate. The survey also found that Canada was the next most popular destination after Australia, followed by the United States, New Zealand, Spain, France and Thailand.

Hmm ... now, as bad as our woes are, I cannot for one moment believe that 3 in 4 Britons have considered emigrating in the past year

I sometimes wonder if articles like this don't have a subliminal message; something along the lines of ...

"Come on you Whites, **** off and make way for the immigrants!"

You need to remember the British are a very reactionary people (only 1/4 wanted to leave 5 years ago, according to the article). The article mentions some 25% wanted to leave because of the recent hung parliament, meaning they were willing to leave their ancestral home and have their children marry Spaniards/Frenchmen etc because of something that lasted about a week. If you read comments to online conservative British tabloid articles, whenever there's some kind of drama (which is every day), you read people getting their strop on and saying "I'm leaving! I'm leaving!" That's all this was really, reactions to the temporary political and slightly more protracted (but still temporary) economic problems.

You'll also find a lot of ill-considered reasons for leaving to foreign lands, such as "England has too many foreigners." This is usually just drama, though, that nobody really bothers to follow through with. Emigration of indigenous Britons is a serious problem at present, but we needn't worry about 3/4s going.
