Not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere, but it is interesting to see what is going on in the once proud & industrious city of Detroit. Tearing down thousands of derelict houses, reverting some of the land to farmland, etc. Very low real estate prices has led to some investment; I've read about some people buying several hundred properties. It should be interesting to see what becomes of this, whether this will lead to the city finally being reclaimed.
