    A Hung Parliament for Britain

Gordon Brown has vowed to play his part in Britain having "a strong, stable and principled government", after winning his Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath seat.

The prime minister held the seat with a majority of 23,009, nearly 5,000 votes more than the last election.

Mr Brown said he wanted to be able to lead Britain into "sustained recovery".

His comments came as an exit poll forecast the Tories would form the largest party in the next parliament, but fall short of an overall majority.

The exit poll predicted the Conservatives would have 305 MPs, Labour would have 255 and the Lib Dems 61, while others, including the SNP, would have 29.

It was conducted at 130 polling stations across the UK, involving 17,607 voters, by NOP and Mori.

    The entire article;

So what are the chances of another election this year?

I'm assuming the BNP is not projected to win any seats, otherwise there would be some semi-hysterical headlines from the mainstream media.

    The Times is pro-Labour?

"Labour short of a majority by 256". They don't even have a plurality.

The BNP have about 3 seats (Barking, Dagenham & Rainham, Stoke-Central) that they realistically have a chance of winning. None of which have been counted yet.
The good news so far is that the BNP have managed to poll higher in every seat from 2005 that I've seen so far.

We'll as it turns out the BNP has failed to make a breakthrough this time around (1.9% of the vote, up from 0.7% in 2005) but perhaps it was a bit too early for the BNP be in Westminster away. I say this because they still have alot more growth to do before they can become a true political force.
It was good to see the BNP get over the 500,000 mark though (against all betting predictions and they did manage to grow their vote (and keep their deposits) in many areas, although they lost a bit in some places.
He's done well to get the BNP to this stage, but I think it might be about time for Nick Griffin to consider handing over the mantle of Chairman to someone with a less 'extreme' past; and someone who can preform better in debates...may I suggest Arthur Kemp.

Still with a hung parliament imminent and a collapsing European economy it might just get the European sheeple to wake up, eventually.

Still the BNP are now the 5th largest party (in overall votes) which is a good gain from 8th largest last time, but again..still more growth is needed.

With the bad economy and this hung parliament, there are chances there will be a new election before 5 years.

^ The UK electoral map. England is overwhelmingly blue, though the red areas are more densely populated.

A few points spring to mind here, most of them patently obvious ...

    1) With the Lib Dems getting almost a quarter of the popular vote, it's scandalous they get barely 1 in 7 of the parliamentary seats. Under a PR system, the BNP would also be entitled to about 13 seats with 2% of the overall votes cast.

    2) The press hysteria about the BNP is now put into perspective. Was it really worth all their slurs and dirty tricks over so little, or is it precisely because of this these they polled so few votes?

    3) If there are still only 1 in 50 members of the British public willing to vote for a Nationalist party in these dark times of globalisation then this is cause for despair! It seems most Whites are now prepared to accept 2nd-class citizenship within their own land and, quite frankly, the BNP might as well not bother offering an alternative if this is all the response it brings!

One way or another, we're heading for more of the same and the only difference is the colour of the ties the ruling party members wear with their slick suits. I sometimes wonder just how bad things have to get before we wake up ... if indeed we ever do

I saw that the BNP lost all their local seats in Barking (11 total) And the Labour woman Hodge doubled her vote! Either alot of foreigners have moved into the area the last 5 years, or something is quite strange.

But still, alot of British people support the BNP without voting for them. Since in the Euro election, the BNP got 2x the nr of votes.
