"I don't open the gate for just anybody. I only open for people I know. I didn't think twice about opening for Chakhoma because I knew him from the time he had done construction work here."
She said she and Machaba had got along fine and she considered him to be a friend.

She even offered him some tea and warned him he had to leave before 1pm because her employer would be returning home.
Machaba declined the tea, but joined her on the couch, where she was watching TV with baby Marzaan on her lap. That's the last thing she remembers.
"I can't remember what happened after that. The next thing I remember is waking up in hospital," she said.
Sekhu said they had never been romantically linked, and were talking on the couch about a man, identified only as Patrick, who had once pursued her, and who had worked on the construction team with Machaba.
