I know, many of you will call them ugly, but I really,
really like pugs. They're so cute.![]()

My favourite are my three pups
Fenian an irish wolf hound pup, Kaiser, little one being hugged, and Goring my German shepards. Kaiser was sired by Goring, my other boy is holding the one that the "bitch's" owner is keeping.
We come from the land of the ice and snow from the midnight sun where the hot spring blows
Hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands to fight the horde sing and cry valhalla i am coming
On we sweep with threshing oar our only goal will be the western shore
We come from the land of the ice and snow from the midnight sun where the hot spring blows
How soft your fields of green can whisper tales of gore of how we calmed the tides of war we are your overlords
On we sweep with threshing oar our only goal will be the western shore
So now you'd better stop and rebuild all your ruins
for peace and trust can win the day despite all your losings
All dogs can be good and loved and a part of the family. I have a Malamute. He is a big boy, a little too big and he is agressive. He bites me fairly hard sometimes when we play. He hates to lose a game.
The best dog, however, is not a dog, it is a wolf. This is so hard to tell dog owners because a dog is simply a wolf which never grew up. But wolves do grow up and that is the blessing and the curse. An adult wolf is as smart as any human although their intelligence is quite different from ours. They have a complete, full range of emotions which are the same as ours and happen in the same situations. This is wonderful for the "owner" in good situations. The problem is that an adult wolf cannot be owned. He can be your son, brother, friend or even your father but he will not be just a pet. In certain situations, he will defer to your judgment but it others you must defer to his. After awhile, you get used to this relationship and grow to like the positive aspects a great deal. The big problem is that a grown wolf cannot be penned in or not allowed to run free at least some of the day. Free wolves get into real trouble and can not be meshed into civilization. If not allowed to run free, the wolf becomes sullen and depressed and of course he is telling you what is wrong and knows you understand completely. After my wolf died, I realized that this experience could not be repeated. I could never find a friend like this ever again in my lifetime and even if I could I would not subject this friend to forced captivity, even under the optimal conditions where I lived at the time.
So, I got a dog instead. Dogs are genetically programed for people and everything is fine.
My Doberman pinscher - He was my life for 10 years, my defender, my teacher, my best friend, with me everyday. His final day was the darkest, my heart still aches as if it was yesterday, but his pain is gone and his soul is free. His ashes at my bedside I wait for every chance to dream of happy times together. When I die we will be mixed and cast to the wind over favorite land. I will never know another like him. I'm not saying he was the best breed just the best friend.
My favorite breed is the German shepherd. I've only owned one, but someday I'll have another once I move back to a more rural area. My shepherd had East German bloodlines, they look stocky, big boned and their noses are generally a bit shorter. They're also bred more for work and intelligence less so for looks. He was a great dog, loyal and protective of family members. I just wish they lived a bit longer than they do.
I like German dogs the best. My family owned a Doberman when I was real young or not even born yet. Currently, own 2 Mini Schnauzers.

Indeed quite as nice breed of dog. Though quite vicious when on the receiving end of one. I found out at four years old how my head was quite a good fit in the jaws (almost lost an eye on one side & split the back of head open on the other)of such a dog, though I don't have anything against them just a bad experience.Originally Posted by Mr. Dethskarz
Apparently the poor creature was going mad & we had to end up shooting him as my cousin had a similiar experience to the head only three months before. It was my uncle's dog. But just a bad circumstance really, nothing more.
A few years back now when I was younger I shared a house with some friends who owned a Pug. He was a good friend & kept me company. Great little dog that one.Originally Posted by weissesMädel

German shepard all the way.
To live is to fight.
To die is to give up.
Bah all these dogs are just posers - the real dog is Tornjak. Croatian mountain dog, this dog was used for sheep herding he has beautiful thick fur and his main specialty was keeping sheeps safe from wolves and - bears!! This dog is big and strong, but still very loyal and meek(to friends). This dog would eat German Shepard for breakfast and would still be hungry.![]()
