    Belgium To Ban The Burkha!

Belgium set to become first European country to ban the burkha

    By IAN SPARKS

Belgium is set to become the first European country to impose a full ban on wearing a burkha. A parliamentary committee in Belgium has unanimously voted to ban the wearing of full face-covering veils in public, paving the way for the first clampdown of its kind in Europe. Officials say that the draft law will probably be put to a vote of the full house on April 22. If passed, it means burkhas, niqabs and other full face veils would be outlawed from the streets, parks, schools and all public buildings.

The hardline proposal comes a day after France's highest administrative body said a full burkha ban in France could violate the French constitution and European human rights laws. Belgium's draft law has the backing of all five parties in the nation's coalition government. In France, immigration minister Eric Besson has branded the garment a 'walking coffin'. President Sarkozy said last year described burkhas as a 'sign of debasement, adding: 'They make women prisoners and deprive them of their identity.

'I say solemnly that they are not welcome on the territory of the French Republic.' Families minister Nadine Morano has said immigrants should sign a 'no burkha' contract before being allowed to live in France. Interior minister Brice Hortefeux said that both women who wear veils and husbands who force them to do so should not be allowed to acquire French citizenship.

And senior UMP party member Jean-Francois Cope has proposed that women should be fined more than 700 pounds for hiding their face in public.
France has already passed a law in 2004 forbidding students and teachers in schools from wearing any kind of religious symbols - including veils, crucifixes and Jewish skullcaps - as part of a drive to defend secularism.

But despite widespread support for a full burkha ban, France's Council of State said yesterday: 'There appears to be no legally unchallengeable justification for carrying out such a ban. 'Making the full veil illegal could be viewed as discriminatory and tricky to put into practice, in particular as the majority of women who wear it do so of their own free will.'

The Council of State also said in a report on the veil that even a limited ban would be difficult to enforce. The council said yesterday that a total ban risks violating the French Constitution as well as the European human rights convention.

But the Council of State said it could made compulsory to uncover the face in places where identity checks needed to be carried out, such as courts, polling stations and town hall weddings. Police could also be given special powers to ban burkhas in high-risk public disorder zones like train stations, sports venues, international conferences, museums, jewellers or banks.

The conclusions sparked anger among MPs in Sarkozy's ruling UMP party.
Jean Leonetti, vice president of the UMP group in parliament, said: 'The ban is either total or incomprehensible.' Only around 5,000 women among France's five million strong population, the largest in Europe, wear full Muslim face veils in public.

Some left-wing politicians have warned that warned that a law banning the burkha could inflame tensions in the Muslim community. Al-Qaeda terrorists have also vowed revenge on France if it banned the burkha on its streets.

Leaders of Al-Qaeda's North African network wrote on an Islamic extremist website: 'French Muslims should react to this ban with the utmost hostility. 'We will seek dreadful revenge on France by all means at our disposal, for the honour of our daughters and sisters.'

That threat from al-qaeda was a little snapshot of real islam. I'm glad Belgium and France are taking steps against public tent wearing, but they wouldn't have to if the islamics weren't there. It seems France, Belgium, and Holland are under the biggest threat from islam, I hope and pray the situation changes very soon.

If this doesn't make the Muslims go home again.

Then it was a very bad decision.

I oppose anything related to islam in Europe or here in America.
But, would not the removal of the burkha possibly contribute to our woes?
In my opinion we need to keep this invading religion as alien-looking as possible.
You remove the mask you make these people that much more approachable, and accessible.

This might encourage many a rebellious muslim woman to demand more rights to fight the old system of sharia Law. If you remove the mask from their face would this not increase the possibilities of race-mixing or intermarriage?

They just keep removing one barrier after the other for these invaders.
Let them keep their hoods and they will be far more resented.
If you expose the face then that will make them seem more human.

This is just one more step by the conspirators toward complete naturalization.
The "victory" is nothing more than a bone thrown to the people to keep them quiet while the worst is still to come.

If I was a muslim, I would never leave those European lands of honey and milk....

No muslim will leave because of this "Belgium Burka ban", they will only get more resolved.
The sad thing is, WE, as Europeans and Americans, aren't on one page nor outspoken on the subject. I agree it s a step forward fighting the Sharia law ruling Europe, but actually it s one battle won and two battles lost because it creates more resolve withing Islamic groups (even moderates).
We will win this battle, but eventually....we will lose the war when we take that route.

WE Germanics even differ in our points of view. I salute the Belgiums for making a stand, but with that stand..."we" won't win anything.

Same thing goes for the Dutch...Wilders will only unite muslims, while he devides the Dutch.

Thats the only good thing which might come out of this Belgian law.

Muslim riots which will prove our point of view.....But than again, didn t Europe suffer enough from muslim riots and attacks "sparked" by our European/Germanic common sense and the longing to be a people within a nation state?

Europe/Germanics is/are still in a deep sleep, and I am concerned if she/we will ever wake up.

Well, so far these riots do not exist in media, and thus not for most of the people. But, when now a North African extremists group threaten to "revenge the honour of their scum", this will be put on quite a different level. In fact, they declared war upon us, not some single muslims within our nations, but an external force. I would think that this must cause some stronger reactions, also from politicians (ie media). If not, WE must plaster the web with these informations.

But the point is, a muslim ceases to be a proper muslim when he or she doesnt follow sharia law. This counts for pork as well as wearing burqas. And this is why it is also important to oppose minarets. It is part of their sharia law to be called fife times a day to the mosque. When they cant do that, Allah will be sick. They will scream louder and louder for their "rights" and with all the noise will wake up far more people.

You see, they dont become "westerners" just because they dont wear their burqa, that's nonsense. They will segregate themselves with other means instead. They have no interest to integrate. This blabbering about that they now would blend in better and being less recognisable is nonsense. Apart from those few who come here because they really like our way of life the mass of them will still be visible muslims, with or without their burqa.

But, with one thing you're right maybe, it might take more severe trouble to wake up the mass of our people. The GDR didnt even last 30 years until people became sick of this system. Here you can be happy when some fifty people attent an anti-mosque demonstration. It might be required for things to become really really worse before something happens. We should do everything to fasten this process.

Good job Belgium.Remember Islam is not a religion nor is it a cult. It is a complete system.

Islam has religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a beard for all the other components.

Islamization occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called ‘religious rights.’

When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to ‘the reasonable’ Muslim demands for their ‘religious rights,’ they also get the other components under the table. Here’s how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact Book (2007)).

As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness.

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs.

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population.

They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply.

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions ( Paris –car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats ( Amsterdam – Mohammed cartoons).

After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:
    Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8%

At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare:

From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels:
After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide.

100% will usher in the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ — the Islamic House of Peace — there’s supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim.

    Islam sucks.

This is indeed good news and congratulation's to Belgium for having the courage to stand up and be counted. I hope the rest of Europe takes note and decides too do the same but it won't happen.

I oppose the existence of Muslims in Europe because of their race, not because of their retarded beliefs and ugly codes of dress, so this means nothing to me.
