    Nation-Based Strategy Games?

I had a look through the forum sections and couldn't see anything for this, so i guess i'll post it here, sorry if its not allowed.

Does anyone ever play strategy nation based games?

Anyone know of any good ones?

I came across this site and thought for a couple of reasons this would be a good site for me. I want to have the ability to talk to other Germanics and learn about the history and cultures of other Germanic countries, but also because i play this game on the internet called eRepublik. Its a strategy, nation based online multiplayer game for free. Its fun and quite interesting, theres always wars going on between the countries, like at the moment South Africa is currently occupied by Argentina and Brazil and they're fighting Australia in South Africa.

The only problem is that the game is full mostly of Slavic peoples and they're invading Germanic nations. Currently Germany is under Polish control with Spain too, and so is France. We have a couple regions free at the moment.

We need more Germanic players, whether you're going to be part of eGermany or elsewhere, we need more.

If you're interested in playing you can sign up here:

(Sorry if posting links isn't allowed, i read through the rules and didn't see anything about posting links)

Non World War german strategic games

If you like war strategy and want to discover german & norse History outside Normandy, Stalingrad & Cie, here are some good non-hex boardgames

    Viking raids & colonisation
Fire and Axe (US version)/ Invasions (FR version)/Viking Fury (old version)
    http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardga...-a-viking-saga

    Wars of the Reformation 1517-1555
    Here I stand !
    http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardga...2/here-i-stand
    protect or crush Lutherianism

    30 Years War
    Wallenstein
    http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/3307/wallenstein
Play Walenstein or Lothringen and blast the Kaïser ennemies or blast the Holy Roman Empire as Gustav Adolf

of course there are plenty of game with german/norse thema.
But most of them are fantasy or abstract or difficult to find
These one are quite easy to find or order and "Historical" as the board is Germany or Europa and not a lost island or fantasy Midgard.
Moreover the material is more attractive than just dozen of card square on hundred of hexagones and are for more than 2 players.
Of course these games are not "accurate" wargames:
die rolls & card distribution count as much as strategy, but this permit a newby to keep a chance against somebody who has played several game before. "Risk" player who likes laughing or swearing after a marvelous or awfull die roll would like more them than a "Diplomacy" one who likes silence to concentrate.

The last but not the least for Skadi Members, these games doesn't need anybody to "sacrifice himself" to play the "Nicht Germanen" only the "Nicht Deutsch"
