Hi...

Not sure what this site is about yet so not entirely sure if I am welcome here! I ended up here because I find racial features interesting, how we can distinguish people so easily.

I was originally interested in finding out where people think I am from. I haven't gone very far back in my family tree because I don't have the information so I am curious as to whether I am more Nordic, Slavic, Celtic, and so on.

Welcome, LaNae. Skadi is a forum for people of Germanic heritage from all over the world.

The classification system is interesting, but it should be taken with a grain of salt as it comes. Because your heritage doesn't depend on facial features alone. You can look Nordic or Slavic but that doesn't absolutely mean you've ancestry from those areas. Each nation has varying phenotypes. Here for example, in my classification peoples said I'm looking Baltic or Slavic, but I've no heritage from those areas nonetheless. I've seen English peoples get classified as Spanish looking too, and Welsh people as well. So in my view yes it's interesting for peoples to pinpoint you to an area according to your features and assign you a subrace, but it's not a secure way of determining your precise ancestry.
