    Sure, that´s obvious. But Iceland isn´t that cold due to the gulf stream influence. By the way, I´ve visited your country in the past more than once and it was just magnificent! I love Akureyri above all, it´s such a beautiful town surrounded by a breath-taking landscape.

    I´ll give some temperature ranges as an example, but don´t nail me down on this :

    Hot climate

    -Quite dry weather; possible desertification
    -Summer temperatures usually between 26 C° and 45 C°
    -Winter temperatures usually between 20 C° and 5-10 C° (snow is very unusal)
    -Example for hot climate: New Mexico, USA; Southern California or Southern Spain/Italy

    Moderate climate

    -Mixed weather with sun and rain
    -Summer temperatures usually between 15 C° and 30 C°
    -Winter temperatures usually between 10 C° and -5 to -15C°
    -Example for moderate climate: Germany; Southern Norway/Sweden;

    Cold climate

    -Mixed weather, tendency to dryness;
    -Summer temperatures usually between 10 C° and ~20C°
    -Winter temperatures usually between 5 C° and -30 to -40 C° (snow very usual)
    -Example for cold climate: Northern Scandinavia; Siberia; Finnland; all high mountain regions (Alpes, Rocky Mountains, etc. )

    I envy those who live in cold climates. I love the mountains and forests.

    I prefer forests and moderate climate. Hence, why I live in the midwest.

    I voted for Forests and Cold weather, but come to think of it, Mountains are just as good as forests.

    I like the forests most of all. There is something magical, mystical, mysterious, spiritual about the forest... I don't like the hot climate, but too cold isn't alright either. A moderate climate is preferable.

    Mountains, forests and cold weather.

    I grew up in thickly forested mountains, and IMO, there's nothing more beautiful than a thick blanket of snow covering the landscape, the cold, dry air, and how quiet everything was.

    There are too many beautiful places on earth to choose. I like BBC series where they did all those nature films. Though I'd prefer not to be in extremely cold environments though they are pretty to look at. I would say a moderate climate like most of Europe or the United States or a sub-tropical environment like southern Greece or Southern U.S.

    Mainly though I like nature that has been altered. I'd rather not roam a forest and be eaten by a bear or attacked by mosquitos! The solitude of nature I could mostly find in my own garden.

    And as long as your air bill doesn't run too high during those summers, thankfully they haven't been too long lately... I do agree with the need to be around the water... even my years spent out in north dakota I was always near some river or lake (yes, we do have some), or vacationing/weekending at the lake cabin/s around DL, MN...

    I do find that I always will have the deepest appreciation for those who can deal with the Minnesota (mainly TC area) winter climates and not whine about it being too cold, especially knowing that less than 150 miles away there are people who I know are usually dealing with much worse...

    I love it to walk in the forest in Winter. At most, when snow fall.
    You can smell the wood, during you look at the pure beautiful snow ambient around you. That is a special atmosphere.
    On my favorite place you sit in the forest at a little lake. Sometimes in Winter as my hund still had lived, i sat there and enjoyed it to look how he plays with the snow. Or how he glides about the ice.

    So i have choosed "Forest and Cold Climate".
