Yes, They are on that course and it is very disheartening.![]()
Well I'd rather have a bloody war for freedom then live under oppression. And hey, maybe the good guys will win for once.
I would almost certainly guarantee some sort of "civil war" is coming to the United States in the coming years, yet.... I feel that this will not be a civil war between regions or peoples, but instead a civil war of ideologies....where you will see the Balkanization of the US along lines of values and beliefs. It is glaringly obvious that the Left and Right in the US despise each other more than ever before, and with Washington become less and less of an effective battlefield for the dispensation of ideas....many will simply forgo a political solution, and instead form autonomous areas with a specific demographics that best represents their views and ideals. Their will be bloodshed when this happens though.
Bah! Enough of the squalor of democratic humanity. It is time to begin to recognise the aristocracy of the sun. The children of the sun shall be lords on the earth.

Well, It's already gone past grass roots. Too many ominous and wonderful signs are there if looked at with a discriminating eye. People are still nervous about speaking boldly for fear of the government....still wondering who to really trust. There is though a general migration and closing of ranks.
Right now, Texas seems the strongest, most independant of areas.
What I see possible are Blue states seceding from the Union, oppression in them towards Red counties leading to a flight for Red states, where Blue cities are awash with insurrections and there may inevitably result in a messy population exchange. Most of the violence would be perpetrated by Democrat states and cities.
Texas is as full of Latins now as it was before the Alamo. If they want to go their own way and leave, it would make perfect sense. On the other hand, Texas is as much a Gulf state as Louisiana and Florida, with even a water boundary on Mexico in the Rio Grande as well. There were real reasons to secede from Mexican rule, but not necessarily do they or their fellow shorelined states belong in America either since they're also not intuitively Anglo. Texas is merely strong enough that they could resist being swallowed up by Mexico, but instead be more aligned with Cuba, as Louisiana with Haiti and Florida with Puerto Rico. Texas is therefore appropriately a Southeastern Republic, whereas New Mexico, Arizona and California are Southwesterners.
