I like Discovery Channel aswell, also National Geographic and Animal Planet, despite the many ads.
Nova I think it's the same world round. Basically it's a scientific documentary. That explores different aspects of nature and the Universe. Here it's on PBS.

I don't watch much TV. When I do it's mostly PBS, The History Channel, Discovery Channel, and animal planet. As for TV series...or shows, I like Family guy and ever now and than I watch Late Night TV. I've always been a sucker for cynical humor. :icon_razz

Broadband has replaced my television, when my tv died 6 months ago I never got a new one, and I don't miss it.
Before that, I was addicted to the Simpons and the Discovery channel, they were my masters, my WWII would not have ended yet had that acursed tube not blown. Now, I feel like I have been delivered from slavery.
Broadband and the lack of a Tv is one of the best things thats happened to me in ages, I've learned alot in a short space of time, I am begining to discover the person I truly am, rather than the one tv had thought me to be. I like the new me better, he's a more intresting guy.

EDIT: For a developed personality, the improtant thing is that, ones' mental life should be formed and driven my ones' own thoughts and intrests.

    Re: Do you watch television?

I watch very little TV (1/2 hour or less).I let my daughter watch a half hour video if she is well behaved. There are two shows I try to watch every week. House with Hugh Laurie (he can act anything. I like how inteligence is prized. And NCIS is the other show. I LOVE all the strong and smart women and smart men. And I adore Pauley Perrette as Abby. I sometomes watch late night reruns of M*A*S*H* with my husband. It was a favorite show to watch with my dad as a kid.

How Often Do You Watch TV? What Do You Watch?

Nationalists on these forums generally look down on TV. Be honest. How often do you watch TV aka the JewTube? What do you watch? Do you ever get tempted to watch Hollywood aka Jewlywood crap?

I watch TV sometimes, mostly to scrutinize an develop an idea about what the youth and gullible are fed nowadays. I have to confess it leaves me hocked sometimes. I prefer YouTube to TV many times however. It is an impossible quest to find anything educational I could allow my son to watch.

A few times/week. I mostly watch the news, but nowadays the Internet is a better source, so I use it more often than the TV.

I would say about one hour per day during the week and at least three hours per day during the weekends.
For children, TV picks up where school and peer groups leave off. It is propaganda that is nothing more than a reminder of how they are supposed to think and feel when not around their equally indocrinated friends. When they rejoin each other they usually talk about what they saw on TV.
The more kids watch TV the less ability they will have to generate conversation about other things. I can remember as a kid that when the topic of what was seen on TV ended, we would then sit around and stare at each other with almost nothing to say.
The phrase "regularly scheduled programming" is not just meant to describe what can be watched but also the effect it is going to have on those who do the watching.
Mostly I have the TV on for purposes of background noise, but the limited viewing time I devote to it are almost exclusively for shows that I have watched for years.
Here is a list of the ones that I do watch from time to time. I have included a few from the past that are no longer on air but can be found on YouTube. They are all relatively harmless compared to the worst that TV offers, like MTV, news outlets, or the E Channel:

    This Old House
    Jeeves and Wooster
Iron Chef - American and Original
    Mystery Science Theater 3000
    Campfire Café
    Chefs Around the World
    The Antiques Road show
    Monty Pythons Flying Circus
    The Young Ones
    Unsolved Mysteries
    Cold Case Files
    Secrets of the Dead
    Black Adder
    Ripping Yarns
    Pop-up video
    The Thirsty Traveler
    College football

A few times a month, usualy when there is a documentary on TV or a decent drama feature, I prefer period drama. I may watch it more than that sometimes but it's definately the average.

I could write pages about what is wrong with TV nower days, Full of repeat showings - Recycling Crap! So politically correct and watered down I never feel the need.

The BBC is pro-immigration, pro-multiculturalism, pro-New Labour, and watching it can be quite soul destorying.

Never, I don't have a TV. When our old one stopped working we decided not to replace it. We do miss it sometimes but not that often. I get my news through the internet.
We both are on the internet a lot. It is better because we can be doing something else(drawing, cooking, cleaning, house work) at the same time and you don't have stay "tuned".
