    Wassail!

I stumbled upon this site by accident while googling "What do the Picts look like?" Of course I don't really believe in chance, so there must be some purpose for me being here. I'm a mutt. Most of my blood is English and German (down both sides) but I've also discovered Dutch and a wee bit o' Irish (6 generations back) and possibly a Scottish connection I have yet to substantiate. I'm American but love to travel and have been to Ireland, England and Scotland. I just went for The Gathering in Scotland this summer and got a chance to see Orkney which was amazing. I'm interested in anything remotely related to my genetic history and I'm here hoping to expand my knowledge and make new friends.

I would not consider you a 'mutt'. Different languages due to isolations of the same race does not matter too much. Only the Celtic part would be foreign to Germanic blood, and you mention it is minor (still European, anyway).

Maybe the Celtic part would be some different and foreign to Germanic blood.
But i think it´s almost overrated.
It´s better than inbred with only one folk.
I don´t think there´s not any problematic blood in cause of the celtic part.
Here in Germany exist also some Celtic parts.
    Germanic isn´t only one Race.
I also wouldn´t consider you as a mutt.

Welcome here, keltikvikingsaxon. I think mutt is a little bit ugly word to describe yourself. You've predominating Germanic blood so you could consider yourself Germanic. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your stay.
