Greetings!
Hallo all and greetings from the East Coast of Canada.
I stumbled upon the Skadi Forum when doing a Germanic images search online. I was pleasantly surprised to find a forum dedicated to something near and dear to me, a place where I can be proud of my Germanic heritage and discuss various topics surrounding it with like-minded folk.
I find it sad that in the 21st century Canada that I live in, most people approach the idea of a folk or if you like, race with extreme trepidation. Most people I know associate talking about folk with racism, regardless of what you have to say about it. I'm happy to find I'm not the only person who is saddened by this.
I'm a student of Biology and Human Anthropology is extremely interesting to me, not to mention Pre-Christian European Cultures as well as genealogy and so much more, this site was really an amazing and fortuitous find! I'm from an entirely Germanic background, although from various subgroups. I can trace back my maternal and paternal lines to great-great grandparents and some even farther. I'm 50% German, 25% English, 12.5% Scottish and 12.5% French. It makes me very happy to have so many Germanic people's in my family history.
I hope I can become another valued member of the Skadi community and look forward to engaging in topics in various boards throughout the site!
Cheers,

Welcome to Skadi. This forum seems to get more and more Canadian members lately.
As with our other new member, mistthevalk, I would be interested in your opinion on The Quebec Question, especially since you are part French, so I would appreciate if you would take a few moments to go through my thread and post your opinion there, should you have time and interest. I hope you enjoy your stay.

Welcome here, NordicGuard. Indeed it's good we've more Canadians here lately.
Which Germanic images were you searching for, if I cold ask? Something about heathenism, or physical anthropology?
Anyhow, I hope for good discussions and you enjoy yourself here.
