    Do You Drink Wine?

Next on the bandwagon. This time something more culturally valuable, as wine is usually enjoyed in good company, or accompanying food.

So yea, do you drink wine? If so, which type to do favour? Which sub-type thereof? Or perhaps you only enjoy wine in a special type of setting and circumstances?

Very little, and I dislike white wine. I prefer semi-sweet ones, for example:

    Yup. Spatzendreck.

    Dry Red Please!

I prefer Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot’s. A few good ones (SA Produce) off the top of my head:

Fleur du Cap: Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot
Zonnebloem: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Laurette
    Allesverloren: Tinta Barocca
Durbanville Hills: Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot
    Welbedacht: Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot

    Love wine, hate the Headache.
Although the word "Commando" was wrongly used to describe all Boer soldiers, a commando was a unit formed from a particular district. None of the units was organized in regular companies, battalions or squadrons. The Boer commandos were individualists who were difficult to control, resented formal discipline or orders, and earned a British jibe that"every Boer was his own general".

I drink all kinds of wine, which sort depends on what kind of food that I am having it with.

Same here, I much prefer White Wine to Red Wine ... though it could have something to do with the fact, that whilst Austrian Red Wines are definitely amongst the better, we (and not the French!) are renowned to have the best White Wines in the world.

At large, I am a beer drinker - and when I go for a pint with my friends, that's usually what I drink: Good old wheat beer. However, the good old glass of wine in good company can be nice as well - though I usually do that when I gather with my family.

I am reasonably partial to some of the most common types of wine Austria, be that Sauvignon Blanc, Morillon/Chardonnay or Grauburgunder. Not that partial to Welschriesling, but it can be reasonably refreshing on a warm day.

I drink mead, and on rare occasions red wine.
Red wine and sprite is pretty good actually.

Mead isn't wine, mead is mead. Full stop.

I almost never drink wine, however I find when I go to the Stammtisch with fellow German students and Germans student-teachers, the girls are always drinking wine. When I do venture into wines, which is not very oft, I prefer a white wine, or a dry red one . But to be honest, I don't know a lot about wines. I've made some rudimentary ones with my housemates though. So many drink threads on here in the past day.
