I'll only drink soda on rare occasions, and certainly never cola.
Things like Henry Weinhard's cream soda and orange-cream soda, or some of the weird flavors from Jones Soda are my preference if I've going to be drinking anything carbonated and sugary.

Other than that, it's juice and tea for me. Anything else just tastes odd, nevermind how unhealthy most soft drinks are.

    I have.........For a long time........

I drink Diet Pepsi, mostly. If I can't get that, then Diet Coke. If neither of those are available I drink the regular Colas.
I'm 70 years old, been drinking it all my life. I'm on no medications and my Doctor says I'm healthy as a much younger man.
I think all that fear stuff is a just bit overblown.........But, that's just the way I see it.

    Aspartame, ugh.

I was a Coke addict and decided to switch to Diet Coke a couple years ago in order to lose weight. I finally got used to the taste of it after about a week and then...my lips started swelling. They swelled up to twice their normal size and would feel so dry, and crack, and bleed. I thought maybe I was just allergic to Diet Coke so I looked it up on Google. I found a ton of information and decided to stop drinking right away. By a few days, my lips were back to normal.

I have no proof aspartame caused that but it's the only thing I changed. I will never drink anything with it again.

Also, I started getting heart palpitations when I was a Mountain Dew addict. I assumed something was seriously wrong with me until I discovered caffeine can cause them. Sure enough, when I stopped drinking caffeine I almost completely stopped having palpitations. I'll have one in a blue moon still. But if I have a lot of caffeine I can almost guarantee I'll have a bad one that day.

So now I drink mostly water, juice, and occasionally Crush soda. It was hard to find a soda that's not lemon and lime and doesn't have caffeine. Fanta and Sunkist both do. But then I found Crush. It has orange, strawberry, and cherry flavors. If I drink a soda it will be one of those. They're quite yummy.

I only drink carbonated soft drinks if they're sugar and calorie free because I don't like to drink my calories.

I'm exactly the same. I only drink sugar and calorie free carbonated soft drinks. And only occasionally.

Sugar is poison for many. You are at risk becoming diabetic.

We will occasionally drink a diet soda to settle a sour stomach, or as an ingredient in a cocktail.
Aside from an ever increasing number of mortals who have willfully chosen to worship Satan and his minions, our battle has always been against the powers and principalities operating surreptitiously throughout this twisted world.
