A friend of mine's grandmother is a Yoruk and she resembles the old ladies in Picture 1 and Picture 3 very, very much (maybe they're the same old lady, they all look alike to me so I can't tell!). I wish I had a photo of her. They are a very hardy people, at age 80 something she still likes working in her own little garden. Traditionally they were nomads, living in the village during the winter, spring and autumn but moving to the plateau during the summer to get away from the heat. They have a very interesting cuisine, too.
