I come from a lineage of Lutherans. My parents are both Lutherans, and so are my grandparents. I was baptised Lutheran and attended Lutheran church. The Lutheran faith has been a defining element of the ethnic minority I am part of (Transylvanian Saxon). In school, religious education was an important subject. Although nowadays the modern generations are becoming less spiritual, and regard church and sacraments as more tradition than anything. Baptism is still common, but has lost its spiritual meaning. I've remained in the church because here the Lutheran church hasn't liberalised like in the West.
