Do you think a mixture of socialism and capitalism is a good economic blend?
Its not possible to survive without capitalism, some says socialism dooms to fails but the Scandinavian's states are very successful with this economic programs especially Norway.

Oh. My understanding was that you were asking if it was a good idea, not how it would be established. Get it now.
Germany has (or had) a more or less working mix of socialism and capitalism, it´s called "Soziale Marktwirtschaft" here. The economic boom in the 50ies and early 60ies (Wirtschaftswunder) was a very positive effect of that ideology, but after too many foreigners were "invited" the social system broke apart - or has become at least very instable. With the rise of the idea of neoliberalism in the 90ies the "Soziale Marktwirtschaft" received a new hard blow, and we can see the consequences with the economic crisis nowadays.

Sweden payed for the expansion of the wellfare state with borrowed money and tax hikes, this system can only work for so long until something's gotta give, either we slash the wellfare programs or we let our companies go under through murderous competition and then dismantle the wellfare state because there aren't enough tax revenues to pay for it, or we borrow more money to uphold an unsustainable system through artificial life support.Its not possible to survive without capitalism, some says socialism dooms to fails but the Scandinavian's states are very successful with this economic programs especially Norway.
During the post ww2 boom there wasn't a problem, but as soon as this boom was over the problems began with funding the European wellfare state.
Norway is in a unique position since they sit on top of one of the world's most precious natural resources, oil, and can therefor afford to prop up a wellfare state by using, in a sense, artificial life support in the form of continued investments which are payed for by oil revenues rather than the profits created by regular companies or individuals.
I am not so sure that Norway's socialism model "is" sustainable. I read that the reason why Norway is so prosperous now is because of the price of oil and low population.....leads to lots of excess money from oil revenue. However all of the socialism has to be paid for, you can't forget that money does not grow on trees....Obama and his bunch are printing it like it does! I prefer a government that is small, has certain requirements to fill, and then leaves me the heck alone!
Many of the services that are today provided by tax funded government institutions should once again become the responsibility of families themselves. It is not just an economical issue but a human one as well, why should we dissolve the family structure by outsourcing the care of our children and elderly to the government, and thus ensuring that we spend more and more time apart as individuals rather than members of a family, a community?
Charity should be a matter of individual choice, and not orchestrated by the government. Foreign aid is not something which the state should collect through taxes. If people want to give away their own money to charitable causes then they should be allowed to do so but it should be up to the individual/family to decide if and how much they want to give, and not the government.
If people have a hard time economically, why should they immediately turn to the government for help rather then relying on their immediate and extended family? Don't we want to live in a society where we help our own and where we can count on the aid of our own flesh and blood if we have a problem, rather than an impersonal government institution?
Government removes the human touch from our lives and replaces it with cold, impersonal beaurocracy.
