Ribéry is quite short: 170cm according to Wikipedia.
I tentatively say: Atlantomediterranid with dinaroid features (nose). Other influence is insignificant in my opinion (still, the light touch of his hair has to be taken into account, but he certainly isn't nordoid). The expression is in my view typical for a continental, more northern Mediterranid. A single trait supportive of this thesis are the fleshy lips.
At first, I was inclined to assume some orientalid (Arabid) influence as I (falsely) thought he was from Marseille (In southern France and northern Italy, similar physiognomies can be found in high number). However, he only played for the local team but was born in Boulogne-sur-Mer in Northern France.
Nevertheless, it's interesting he apparently has a penchant for Arabian Women and Islam, so maybe this is a track to be more thoroughly examined as such inclinations are more often than one would believe rooted in a person's genes.
Craniofacially I think the subject matches Coon's description of the Keltic-Nordid type pretty well.
The subject may have some different stock than the Keltic-Nordids of the British Isles. Even if he does, the outcome is quite similiar.
For comparison: Coon wrote that there was a type found among the Basques that was essentially Keltic-Nordid. Yet, I think Basque Keltic-Nordids have some different stock than the British Isle Keltic-Nordids.
Thanks, Zuid-Vlaming.
Ribéry's brother looks more nordoid than Franck. Something grubby in the appearance of the latter deters me from classifying him proper Nordid, but his looks might just be individual variety. Furthermore, I do not want to speculate, but: Pater semper incertus.
As a summary, I still think that Franck Ribéry is of an indeterminate mediterranid subtype with some dinaroid and cromagnoid (the latter being visible also in his brother's physiognomy) traits, but he is a tough nut to crack anyway. I would not classify him Keltic Nordid, which in my view is no problem in the case of JPP.
I assume you claim that Jean-Pierre Papin fits Coon's description of Keltic-Nordid. Judging by the photo posted, Jean-Pierre Papin's face is not tapered; his gonials are flaring. These are not Keltic-Nordid traits.
From the posted frontal shot of Francois Ribery, I think he looks pretty craniofacially Keltic-Nordid as well. Cromagnoid influences may be involved. More photos would be needed for analysis.
I was writing too fast, thus not precise, I'm sorry: What I wanted to say is that it is, judging by the photograph, IMO not impossible he falls under the Keltic-Nordid category. You are right however, that flaring gonials are not a Keltic Nordid (but rather Cromagnoid) trait. So, he may not be classified Keltic- Nordid indeed even when showing some traits of this category.
I'd say predominantely atlantid with some dinarid admixture.
His brother goes more to nordatlantid.
Typically french types.. that mix nordid and mediterranid elements
