Yes readers gorge on media messages that fit there views. Why? Well the same reason I'm interested in the information on Skadi. I feel somewhat instinctively drawn to it.
It's the same reason that people seek there own kind. There own environment. There own political ideology to live under. We may at the end of the day all be individuals. But that doesn't deny the fact that we seek fields of interest collective in nature.
That's why nationalism as a collective rule makes sense. Sure we may not agree on everything but were better than 70% on most. I always remember 70% being a true passing grade.
I don't see a separation between church and state. The church is the state in my opinion. The church has a bunch rules in which it feels the individual should lead his life. How is this any different then the state? If a religion in any given state becomes largely enough accepted by the people. It will eventually become the rules in which everyone uses as guidelines for a life lived.
This is why a multicult/race existence is unfair to all involved. Life should be lived with those whom share your values to as close a point as possible.
