She looks completely Hallstat-Nordid to me. I can't find anything about her that is suggestive of anything else. Maybe some one else can find something.
yDNA: R1a1a1
mtDNA: H4a1
Ancestry Painting: 100% European
23andme Global Similarity: Dead center of English Cluster
Looking at the photo with Pure Passe, the bizygomatic diameter and lower facial breadth seem greater than typical for Nordid types.
Also, the nose is somewhat broadened and lacks sharpness.
To me, these characteristics look Faelid influenced.
I would classify her as Nordid/Faelid.
In the last two photos, she reminds of Naomi Watts.
Maybe mostly Nordid but definitely not only that. CM admixture is quite clear in my opinion, and that CM i think would be Faelid yet again.
I think Faelid/Nordid mixes often result in appealing looks, just like Faelid/Atlantid mixes.![]()
Good. My conclusion would also be predominantly Nordid with Faelid influence.
And yes, Jorrit, I agree; there are some remarkable beauties in the Faelid/Nordid spectrum. But of course, I'm biased in this matter.
Do you have examples of Faelid/Atlandid mixes? If so, please put them up for classification. (Also to see if the rest of us agree with you on your conclusion.)
Not robust enough to be Faelid in my opinion, in fact quite the opposite: she is rather gracile.
The nordic component is very strong & I think that what is missing in the equation is a slight alpinization, so my overall verdict would be Subnordid![]()
@Anlef
I will soon post some Faelid/Atlantid mixes then.
You're Faelid/Nordid as well indeed. In my family this mixture occurs too, my mother for example is classified Faelid/Nordid by Agrippa.
@Blood_Axis
Well, she's not 50% Faelid, but the shape of a Faelid skull is there imo, although not as broad as a "pure" Faelid. And her nose also shows CM influence, the tip seems quite broad. Overall it's maybe more of an influence or small admixture i think. She doesn't have to have the robusticity of a Faelid, because of the Nordid component, which softens it down.
Blood Axis,
Interesting. I do think that, if there were some slight Alpinisation/reduction at work, use of the term Subnordid would make it too much of a blanket term. Besides, the Subnordid type is not that stable a blend. Anyway, I think she's pretty much dolichocephalic, and thus has no meaningful trace of Alpinid (i.e. brachycephalic) influence. Also, her face is more angular than rounded, which would point to Faelid influence. If there is any Alpinid/Borreby influence in Ms. Hoffman, I think it would be slighter than Faelid influence.
Jorrit,
I look forward to your Faelid/Atlandid examples!
MVBeleg recently gave a thorough classification of my phenotype/morphology. He said I resembled the Trønder/Trondelagen type. Yet since my ancestry is outside the ethno-geographical sphere of that type, we agreed that a mixture of Nordid and Faelid would be a sufficient description.
The "hoodedness" of the eyes seems rather faelid/cromagnid too.... straight 'nordid' types AFAIK have wide round, naturally open looking, eyes; in comparison to cromagnid types..
