    Synchronicity in History

According to the psychologist Carl Gustav Jung synchronicity is the experience of two or more events which are causally unrelated occurring together in a supposedly meaningful manner. Also certain "patterns" in history can appear as synchronicizy.

For example obisiously the number 9 in the end of years seeams to have a certain importance in younger German history; beside this a high number of years in every century, which can be divided by 3 (for example 1933 – 33:3 = 11)
According to this we havein the 20th century special dates in 1918 (End of World War I.), 1919 (Treaty of Versailles, Foundation of the Republic of Weimar), 1929 (Great Depression), 1933 (Hitler's "Machtergreifung"), 1939 (beginning of World War II.), 1949 (Foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany and the German Democratic Republic), 1959 and 1969 had a certain relevance for the western German politics, but uninteresting here , and finally 1989 as the date of re-unification of FDR and GDR.

A short list of other important dates in German history:

899 – Beginning of the Magyar Wars
919 – Henry I the Fowler (reigned between 919–936), a Saxon elected as king
921 – Treaty of Bonn (the agreement between West Francia and East Francia, Henry becomes Rex Francorum Orientalum)
963 – Poland becomes feudal tenure of the Roman-German Emperor
1027 – Conrad II. becomes the first emperor of the German Holy Roman Empire
1156 – Henry the Lion (* 1129) becomes Duke of Bavaria
1139 – The House of Babenberg becomes the margrave of Austria, which was splitted from Bavaria then
1190 – Death of Barbarossa, foundation of the Order of the Teutonic Knights
1254 – Beginning of the Interregnum
1312 – Henry VII. crowned to the next Emperor
1348 – Foundation of the first German University (in Prague)
    1356 – The Golden Bull
    1524 – Beginning of the Peasant's War
    1618-48 – Thirty Years' War
1721 – End of the Great Northern War
1763 – End of the Seven Years' War
1772 – First Partition of Poland
    1789 – French Revolution
1793 – Second Partition of Poland
1806 – End of the Holy Roman Empire, foundation of the Confederation of the Rhine
    1848 – Revolution / Spring of Nations
1849 – Constitution of St. Paul's Church, Frankfurt
    1866 – Austro-Prussian War
1871 – Foundation of the (second) German Empire after defeating France

Another example for synchronicity in German history is the German KdF passenger ship Wilhelm Gustloff, which can be interpreted in a way as a symbol for the Third Reich itself. Just as the Third Reich in general also the history of that ship is a story of superlatives… It was a prestige object, the biggest and most luxury cruise liner of it's time, and it visualised more than anything else the social welfare for German workers during the reign of Hitler. It's name was inspired by a nationalsocialist martyrer, which was killed in 1936. At the end of the war it was used under the flag of the Red Cross for the biggest sea rescue action in history. The attack of that hospital ship (which salvaged 10.582 refugees) by a russian submarine, caused the biggest ship disaster in history. This sad record has some curiosities: it happend on january 30th 1945, exactly on the 12th year since the nationalsocialist revolution. And on that day Wilhelm Gustloff himself would have become 50 years (if he still was alive then)… because it was also his birthday.

Do you know other amazing examples of synchronicity in history?
