Thumbs Down Sonia Sotomayor - Your Opinions

President Obama's nomination of someone like the apparent racist mestiza Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court came as no surprise. Fits right into the Big Government, Marxist/minority racist scheme of things he embodies.
Sotomayor's nomination gives me great reservations due to several factors, one of which is her record showing clear hostility towards the 2nd Amendment and gun rights, declaring "the right to possess a gun is not a fundamental right" in one opinion. In that, she is dead wrong, on the wrong side of the constitution. The right to bear arms is one of our most fundamental freedoms, important enough to be explicitly enumerated in the Bill of Rights.
A second factor of concern is her now infamous statement of racial discrimination against white men, and her inept decision against white firefighters of New Haven, Conn. who were clearly victims of racial discrimination. Further, it is reported that she is a member of the Hispanic racist group "National Council of La Raza" which seems a serious conflict of interest for a judge supposed to be objective and "color-blind". There seems to be a pattern of racism surrounding her.
Judge Sotomayor declared in a 2005 speech at Duke University that judges are involved in making policy, which is not at all their place. This marks her as a typical "activist" judge, the kind that has done so much damage to this country, behaving as though they are our unelected rulers while on the bench, while disregarding the will of the majority in many cases.
I believe her record marks her as an enemy of White Americans, constitutional government, liberty, and rule of law, so, of course she'll be confirmed to the Supreme Court.

It is both disgusting and disturbing that it is acceptable for minorities to be racist, and furthermore that if a white male were to make a similar comment regarding a hispanic female he would not only be out of the running, but ridiculed by all media and forever branded a racist.

That is exactly what she is, and not even a veiled one at that.

For those that don’t know, La Raza is the Spanish version of the KKK and will engage in violence against whites if given the chance.

But their position on weapons is obvious, and that is they are cowards who don’t want to fight a battle but force you yo give up your weapon so the can slaughter you by stabbing you in the back.

Regarding the Supreme Court appointment, I can't say that I'm surprised at all; it was inevitable. At this point, her confirmation is a foregone conclusion....

Many Latinos were pretty pissed at Obama when Bill Richardson had to back out of his nomination for Commerce Secretary. They wanted Richardson in office to get the Latino voice more in public affairs, and Commerce Secretary would have been an influential position. Obama's nomination was an effort to throw a bone to his Latino constituents who voted him into office.

What I find more infuriating than the appointment itself is the reaction of the Republicans and Conservatives. They have really lost their spines in the last 100 years, and especially in the last 50, thanks to the Christian extremists in this country hijacking the party and using it to beat away at their bibles. They are trapped by their own political maneuvering and continued stupidity, and too stupid, in fact, to rejuvenate the original Conservative values of the party (and no, not Christian ones either).

Furthermore, they desperately seek the conservative Catholic Latino vote in order to seem "inclusive." They recognize that the Latino vote in this country is going to be more and more important because of the numbers game. Therefore, they can and will do nothing about this nomination, except to make a little noise about guns and voice standard grumblings about "the liberals." Republicans, even though I agree with them on many important issues (except the importance of a woman's choice), are more pathetic and scheming than the Democrats, to me anyway.....

This two party system is what makes all of this nonsense possible. I wish we had a TRUE multi-party system instead....

    Sonia Sotomayor- Your Opinions

The process by which Sotomayor was selected testifies to what we can expect in Obama's America. Not a single male was in the final four. And she was picked over the three other women because she was a person of color, a "two-fer." Affirmative action start to finish.

America has sunk to such lows that affirmative blacktion is applied to a seat on the Supreme Court because a mestizo somehow deserves to be on the bench by virtue of their racial background. This alien body/colony in our midst, the 'hispanics', is pandered to by "our" government representatives. The foreign invaders' interests are placed ahead of native-born Americans, which is treasonous.
The GOP reaction to all this has been spineless, unsurprisingly. They have sold out any "conservative" principles they had, in pursuit of their own neo-con Big Government agenda, and a minority racial vote they'll never get.
There is no effective opposition to the globalist agenda in the guise of Obama and fellow travelers.

As expected, La Raza's "wise" mestiza was confirmed to the Supreme Court today, yet another sign that the Republic is truly dead. Gloat ye marxists and Statist servants, all ye 'minority' racists.
At least Kentucky's senators did their jobs and voted against her confirmation.

    Sotomayor, Unplugged

A feminist Marxist Mexican supremacist on the Supreme Court is just one more blessing of multiculturalism, how did we ever manage without it?
Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor drew attention to her racial politics this week during a speech at the University of Chicago Law School, where she took issue with the positions of some of her colleagues on the bench.

Since her confirmation hearings, in which she had to explain her previous assertion that a wise Latina woman “would more often than not reach a better conclusion” than a white man in the same position, Justice Sotomayor has typically been more guarded in her public comments. But at the student forum, she criticized Chief Justice John Roberts’s position in a 2007 case about whether public school admissions could be race-conscious to achieve diversity (Parents Involved in Community Schools v. Seattle School District No. 1).

Writing for the court, Justice Roberts said that “the way to stop discriminating on the basis of race is to stop discriminating on the basis of race.” Justice Sotomayor told U of C students that that formula is “too simple” for her. “I don’t borrow Chief Justice Roberts’s description of what colorblindness is,” she said. “Our society is too complex to use that kind of analysis.” She also told students that, contrary to fellow Justice Antonin Scalia, she was “not sure” whether determining the original intent of the Constitution was the most important consideration in deciding a case.

Justice Sotomayor also talked about being the first Hispanic woman on the Supreme Court. “To the extent my presence has given people of color a sense of belonging with the court, then I have made a difference,” she said. The justice said that she doesn’t let her racial identity affect her judgment in cases but is convinced that others pre-judge her. “People have views of me and expectations of me that are based on stereotypes,” she said. “That’s part of the norm of our society.”
