Action, SciFi, Comedy... Depends on what's played in theater (?). In any case, a movie genre that is worth spending 4 to 8 euros.

I'd have to say "Drama" because a good one can incorporate many other genres. If it ain't well scripted and well acted and well filmed I can't watch it whatever it is.

(If it's horror I can't watch it anyway, except under the covers anticipating what's round the corner and ending up with a blinding headache from scrunching up my shoulders in anticipation of evil.):eek

I'll watch anything with a good looking bloke in it. Which is why I also watch football and people working on construction sites, but that's actually about the movie of life so not really a "genre".

Historical and war films like Elizabeth, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Ride with the Devil, Saving Private Ryan, A Midnight Clear, Stalingrad, Enemy at the Gates, King Arthur, etc. I realize many films of this genre suffer from major historical inaccuracies and bias but one doesn't have much of a choice do they?

I voted for comedy but I also like SciFi, Horror and all the others...
Herbert Hoover

    Post Favorite Movie Scenes

Following in the stem of the 'post your favourite music video' thread. It just occured to me that YouTube has a lot of good scenes from movies on it, so there's no reason we can't have a thread to post them all in. Anyway, here's a couple of my personal favourites...

The drug deal scene from Scarface ("why dont jou try sticking jour head up jour ass, see if it fits?"):

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tw2mqbe33gg

Classic scene from The Shining ("herrrre's Johnny!"):

Adrenochrome trip scene from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas:

AW: Post scenes from your favourite movies

I loved that series back then, I dont know why:

    Space: Above and Beyond

Colonel McQueen with a quite famous quotation...his answer on the order of a prayer to "make peace with your maker"...I like that answer:

The spoken loveletter of Nathan West to his girlfriend. I love this text...it so nice, spiritual and yet melancholic.
