I have as many old chess games as I could get my hands on, some boring hex games (Battle isle 1 'n' 2, Wargame Construction Kit "Tanks!" etc) and then stuff like "Lemmings", and a bunch of random crap... and a large number of MegaDrive and SNES 'roms' ... I also have quote a few old games still working on disk, and my old Atari ST

MegaTraveler 2 was a horrible crap game. I still finished it though and the same goes for MT I.

I have original copies of all the Sim City games. SC 2000 was my favorite...

I think i've seen the multiplayer version of Civilization on an abandonware site before. That would be an intresting one to set up

I loved Ports of Call, a German management simulation of a overseas transport corporation.

Also, one of the best oldies is CONFLICT: Middle East a political simulator where you control Israel. The goal is to overthrow all the neighbouring governments either by financing opposition or by military conquest. You can also throw nukes, or get a nuke thrown at you There's almost NO graphics in the game, but it beats any newer political sim out there. It was released in 1990. My best success was creating a strong fascist Israel and conquering all the surrounding states with military ( although a bug in the game doesn't let you finish it properly when you're absolutely victorious ).

@Milesian. I found the game Rome/Rome AD 92/Pathway to Power, it's 2.35 MB... how can I upload it to Skadi ( my ISP only allows 2MB attachments by e mail ).

Now that brings back some fond memories! LOL!
First order of business was always the same - Befriend the Spanish Governor, get a Letter of Marque from him, woo his incredibly attractive daughter promising I would be back for her, and then with a loud "Huzzah!" it was off to decimate English shipping in the Carribean.

The town of Cartagena was particulary profitable. I found I could loot the place everytime without fail. After a sword fight on the castle walls with the Captain of the Guards, my crew would loot the local treasury (and the bars ) and then we'd sail out maybe 500 metres before swinging round and sailing back for more looting (much to the despair of the local population )
After about 3 months of that, we found there was nothing left to loot and the population had been reduced to about 6 people. So laden with canons, gold and booze, we decided to head up north a bit to the town of Marcaibo.
After a short sword fight, I was slung in prison, lost most of my crew, wealth and canons. Upon my release, I gave the orders to the crew that I had left........."To Cartagena!"

Did anyone ever play Loom for the Amiga?
The soundtrack was to Swan Lake, classy game

    The Amiga ruled!

Early games like Golden Axe, Hostages, Rick Dangerous, Kick off and Moonstone!

The only modern machine that reminds me of Amiga and its games is Gameboy Advance. It's well worth the price with a Flash card, and game roms from the net ...

Computer games is the biggest obstacle for those who want young men to become feminised pacifists!

Not quite as old as these other ones, but what about Dungeon Keeper and Dungeon Keeper 2? Absolutely awesome concept and game. You play the evil dungeon keeper and you have little imp slaves that do your bidding as you build the dungeon you want. You train your monsters and set traps to kill the heroic invaders. One of the best games of all time.
