Magickal Properties
Using vervain in rituals
Vervain has many mystical properties, and is often used in blends for divination, dream magick and prophesy. I always thought it was a good compliment to use with mugwort. It can also be used to promote creativity and help get your muse working again. In Egyptian mythology, when Isis wept over her dead husband Osiris, vervain sprung up where her tears fell. Vervain has been a sacred herb to the ancient Celts and Romans, and was often used on altars. It was believed that vervain would protect against headaches and snake bites. The flowers and leaves are used in magick and rituals.
