How an Economy Grows and Why It Doesn't

Famous US income-tax protester Irwin Schiff has put some of his writings online, including these two 1980s comics aimed at kids as well as adults which are very readable (even I got something out of it ) and have some views currently relevent .

How an Economy Grows (and why it doesn't)

The Kingdom of Moltz - a shorter comic about inflation.

I don't want to see the economy grow. I want to see it destroyed. Economic growth= environmental destruction. If we don't have a healthy ecology and planet its all for nothing anyhow. Maybe a ruined land will drive the foreigners and weklings out.

I try to say the same myself but no Economy means no job for me and I just cannot survive on benefits.

It's a trap the government have got us into un-fortunately.
Our own sickness is what has caused todays problems, and our own physical, but above all; spiritual health, will be what delivers us to a new Golden Age.

Not necessarily. Economic growth leads to technological advancement which leads to environmentally sustainable policies. The most environmental destruction occurs in third world countries, where they don't have the economic development to allow environmental preservation (which is viewed as a luxury).
