Actually I was told that the lungs of a heavy smoker will not repair themselves after the age of 40.

No because I had radiation therapy a while ago.
(It doesn't matter how old the song is, I won't stop liking it).

I'm registered as a postmortem donor, which will, of course be meaningless to me after I die. They can do whatever they want with my organs before the rest of my remains are cremated.

However, while I'm still breathing air in this twisted world, I would only donate a kidney, for example, under certain circumstances.
Aside from an ever increasing number of mortals who have willfully chosen to worship Satan and his minions, our battle has always been against the powers and principalities operating surreptitiously throughout this twisted world.

My father quite smoking at age 50. He died 30 years later from COPD. He had scarring on his lungs from smoking. Not cancer, scar tissue. Which made breathing difficult. He didn't start showing any symptons until six months before his death. So... if you don't smoke don't start. And if you do and you are over 40 it doesn't make a difference if you quit or not.

I was a heavy smoker, I quit in the seventies, I have quite a bit of scar tissues. My breathing is not what it should be but I'm OK so far.

I lost 2 brother in laws, they both had cancer complicating with alcoholism. They both did not reach 60.
