Filmed in Germany, a replica flying Me262, (complete with jet engines) taking off, flying & landing. It looks & sounds like the real thing!

The owner of this model is now facing charges in Germany for the Swastika's displayed on the tail! (1,ooo euro or 20 days imprisonment!!)..

Two or three years ago a former German pilot named Guido Mutka (as I remember, may have been Mutke) claimed that he put his Me-262 into a power dive to help out another pilot in air to air combat in 1945. He claimed that during the power dive, he broke the sound barrier. At this time several Me-262s crashed doing something like this due to "extreme vibrations". Mutka, too experienced this but was able to bring the aircraft out of the dive successfully. A German professor was working on a computer model of this event at the time to try and verify it. I have never heard anything since.

Yes I have heard about Hans Guido Mutke breaking the sound barrier

Here's an interesting link pertaining to the Me262 that was given as a 'gift' from the British Government to Australia. (Dec 22 1946...RAAF Base Laverton Victoria...then onwards to Fairbairn, Canberra)
