    Post Re: Tat-C

From the first link, it appears that Tat-C is an old UP maker which may have originated in North or Northeast Europe or Asia. Sometimes higher frequencies of a particular genetic manifestation occur outside its place of origin. Sickle cell is a good example. This sickle allele is thought to have originated in the forest with the pigmies but took off with slash and burn agriculture, reaching its hightest frequency outside the forest among full sized Blacks. Likewise, Tat-C could have originated in Europe or Asia and spread either way, eventually ending up in America. This doesn't necessarily mean it is specifically a Mongoloid or Caucasoid marker.

    Post Re: Tat-C

To be honest I believe that Tat-C is in fact a mongolid marker, and the UP suggestion made in the first link is just an attempt by a "white power" group to justify the "superiority" an "non-admixture" of the "whites" in Finland. I can just say that anything coming from www.stormfront.org is strongly biased. Anyway, I could be wrong and Tat-C be just a UP marker....but I'll wait for true scientific research to point that way.

A good example of euro-asian types in europe are the Saami:

Note that the women on the left side is highly depigmented, has blue eyes but some mongolid traits. You can find lots of Saami pictures on the web, and you will notice how they all share european and asian traits.

    Cheers
