Could Thor or Odin be the Orion Constellation?

Could Thor or Odin refer to the Orion the Warrior constellation.

I have good reasons for this as all religions are based upon Astrology. If you have not watched the first part of Zeitgeist the move please do here:

Well, Tor or Odin could very well be the Orion constellation. Because probably all, or most religions have one name for every constellation. So wether you chose to call the Orion-constellation for the Odin-constellation, is up to you.

    Could Thor or Odin be...Orion............?

Well, he looks like Thor to me. There are two bright stars, not usually included in representations of the constellation, well situated to be the ends of the head of Thor's hammer, Mjollnir.

Surely, no one could have ignored that imposing figure of a warrior in the sky, wearing a sword-belt and scabbard. Odin is usually depicted carrying a spear , seldom wearing a sword.

Orion, impressive as he is here in the mid-latitudes, would be even more so in the high latitudes of Scandinavia. especially amid the rays and draperies of the aurora. He looks every inch a warrior.

I am glad people have considered this and not just shrugged it off. The detail in which the stories in the bible parallel the astronomy of the 'heavens' in the videos in the OP is beyond mere speculation. Could Valhalla be a portion of the night sky where the warrior constellations are located. Remember in 800BC there was less knowledge of the real nature of the sun, moon and stars.

Thumbs Up Of course it is the ORION night sky stars constellation starsign

Happy, that people came across this already .

The times , when I started and finished to have seen all constellations personally ,
    stared , starred , astonished ,
without any modern instruments , had been Autumn 2005 - Spring 2006 Northern Hemispere .

Those Constellations look different in pure nature ,
than on some tiny computer screen monitor .

Thor , by the way , is the GEMINI constellation ,

    also the 3-pointed hammer ,

the belt and belt lock ,

    and the gauntlet .

There might have been navigators , those
navigated solely by sunlight during the midsummer weeks , though ....

TBQH, you need a damned good imagination to see all these figures and symbols that are purportedly represented by the constellations

    Cool Sterne und Weltraum (SuW)

It is important to purchase different magazines , since they differ a little bit in the way
they draw lines between the visible 5.0 to 5.5 magnitude stars .

Some claim 6.0 would be visible , but not to me .

And it needs winter's nights and really clear air after rainfall .

Just google for some magazines , for Germany I remember ' Sterne und Weltraum ' and ' Astronomie heute ' .

    https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astronomie_heute
