Okay, so what's the difference? I though brunette was just another word for brown?

I think "brunette" means dark brown when refering to hair color. Some anthropologists use the term "brunette white" to describe some Europid skin tones and I'm not sure what they mean. Olive?

I've always taken Brunette as being a rather generic term for someone who someone who does have blonde or red hair. At least, that seems to be the way everyone up and over here uses it.
"Dark brown" "light brown" and the such i just figured is being more specific than just brunette.
I've never considered myself to be a "brunette," but rather just someone with medium to light brown hair.
It does seem though, based on what I have noticed in hair coloring product commercials, that brunette does seem to be considered more of a dark dark brown or black hair.
if that is the case Soil, then I am a natural brunette.

I've heard brunette white skin described as intermediate between pink-white and olive. Can anyone give details on this?
In English, brown hair means the same as brunet/brunette. Dark brown is simply dark brown.
