Somewhere along the way growing up in America, a biased, stereotypical view of Germanic people has been forced upon me, and it is only upon reflection of my own character and that of my family that I am able now to not let these cloud my view of my own heritage. That being said, stereotypes do hold within them (atleast some) truth. Typically, Germans are seen as cold emotionally. They are also viewed as industrious, obediant workers. They have a knack for organization, and this manifests itself in many aspects of how they live. There are many more, and I'd like to hear what others, especially Americans, feel are the stereotypes we are given of the German people. Further, I'd like to hear opinions of Germanics as to whether you feel any of these preconceived notions are accurate, in general, and whether you embrace these stereotypes as part of who you feel you are.
