I must say that I find quite some of them hilarious. I love LOTR and always have ever since I first started to read it when I was 11 or 12. And it's always amusing to see how people are having some goofy fun with it. And most of them are well-meant anyway; those that parodise it because they hate it usually make a bad parody anyhow
-In kalte Schatten versunken...

(Heimdalls Wacht, In kalte Schatten versunken, stanzas 4-6)

I must agree if its done in good fun then great but not to try destroy the idea of it as most of us love it so much.

I loved LOTR, and, of course, the Hobbit and the Silmarillion (as well as some of the later stuff that Tolkien's son Christopher edited and published).

The only LOTR parody that I've read is Bored of the Rings, which is funny in a sort of weird National Lampoon fashion.

Ok, I voted...couldn't care less/don't know because I really don't have time to watch them or any movie for that matter (one of the drawbacks to having 2 little ones )

I did see the LOTR trilogy and truly enjoyed it, and the posts put here on BuB macking them by EG are funny!

LOTR parodies are very funny in my opinion. I have seen my friends do some parodies and I always crack up.

Most LOTR parodies are are hilarious. But some are just retarded, but that's rare.

I have read all the books of Tolkien, and really like his work's. But although I respect them, I love the parodies.
