The Elder and Prose Eddas I have both read, required reading for a Heathen, one might say. Regretably I cannot understand Icelandic to read them in the original. I have read bits and pieces from Havamal auf deutsch.
To me the Elder Edda is our "holy text" a source of the lore, wisdom, values that helps modern Heathen Folk to "reconstruct" the old Folkways and learn of the nature of the ancestral Gods.

Any suggestions of online sources where one can read more off the Edda?

I have read it a couple of times and try to make it a point to study it with some regularity.

I have read and enjoyed both a few times now, thoroughly preferring the Poetic Edda, however. I agree that Snorri is a questionable source and seems to have twisted and/or joined together tales to fit his own design.

Once someone told me that the Edda was impure, that it was written by christians, is someone aware of that fact? or is it false?
