Happy to say that I've only seen one of the movies that won any of the major awards:

March of the Penguins. It was a great family film.

I just watched this film tonight for the first time, by strange chance.
I was called (ie, ordered) off the computer several hours ago to sit and watch it. I was surprised, it was quite entertaining.

Years ago I used to have an endearingly sullen white dwarf-rabbit named "Vomit" that I let run free around the neighbourhood, so having a soft spot for Rabbits made it easy to enjoy the fim I guess....

He was a funny little fella, I'll try to dredge up some pics of him.

Yeah, I've only seen one on the who list (Corpse Bride) and don't care to see the majority of the rest.

Who will win? To be honest I'm surprised to even see that question asked here! I like Reese Witherspoon but don't care if she wins. Most of those "entertainers" should go back to their proper places as lowly court jesters rather than the royalty they have become!

Well, we all know who is happy with the results( I caught Oprah Winfrey on today and was cheering about how great it was) with Crash winning 3 awards:thumbsdow .

I do want my daughter to se March of the Penguins when she is older...looked good

Basically, any movie the academy nominates, I try to avoid

I just realized that I could not happier (and more proud) that I have not even heard of most of the movies that won any of the first tier awards!

Yay for me and yay for my soul!

"Crash" was an excellent movie. It was real situations that happen to real people every day.
I believe that religion, generally speaking, has been a curse to mankind - that its modest and greatly overestimated services on the ethical side have been more than overcome by the damage it has done to clear and honest thinking.

...that no discovery of fact, however trivial, can be wholly useless to the race, and that no trumpeting of falsehood, however virtuous in intent, can be anything but vicious.

...that all government is evil, in that all government must necessarily make war upon liberty...

...that the evidence for immortality is no better than the evidence of witches, and deserves no more respect.

...in the complete freedom of thought and speech...

...in the capacity of man to conquer his world, and to find out what it is made of, and how it is run.

    ...in the reality of progress.

I - But the whole thing, after all, may be put very simply. I believe that it is better to tell the truth than to lie...to be free than to be a slave...to know than be ignorant.
