Stupid name, really...

But, he wouldn't be the first to 'Americanize' his name, especially into 'everyday', simple names and surnames.

There were a lot of eastern Europeans, namely Ukrainians who settled in the American mid-west ( and other regions ). Unfortunately, in most cases, they didn't preserve their ethnic identity.

I wonder what his exact ancestry is, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that his family originally hails from eastern Europe.

Brown, served in Congress for 16 years, and Clancy spent much of his younger years living near Washington, D.C. He received a track scholarship to Northwestern University and graduated with a B.S. in Speech. He married television news producer Jeanne Johnson in 1993 and two years later became a father."
