Cordon des Druides (Line of Druids)

The stone row called "Line of Druids" runs for some 250m (820ft) in the Forest of Fougères.
In the Forest of Fougères, on the right of the D177 road, lies this beautiful stone row of quartz blocks running in SW-NE direction. It extends on both sides of the forest road, but only the northern section is well preserved. The stones are aligned for some 250m (820ft), with 23 large blocks 1m (3.2ft) high and many smaller. From the forest road, the row rises slightly for 75m (246ft) to the largest stone of the monument, which is 1.8m (6ft) high, and then the heights slowly diminish for another 170m (558ft), bending gently to NNE to a final large quartz block.
Long single stone rows are rare in Brittany (there are only two other ones, in Saint-Just and near the mount Saint-Michel de Brasparts), but on all use the symbolic colour white (the quartz)
