Cooking hints, tips, advice needed? Ask here!

    OK,

My fiance is a highly qualified chef who has won awards and had articles on her creations in printed magazines. She specializes in desserts (Pastry Chef) she's worked at some of the best restaurants in Australia (foodies might know of Circa the Prince) and basically knows how to cook anything (dessert wise at least).

I get spoiled with sweets all the time luckily I stay lean pretty easily or I'd be as rotund as Jabba the Hutt given the treats I'm tempted with on a daily basis...

If anyone has any recipe requests, or needs advice on any aspect of patisserie/dessert cooking etc post it here, I'll ask her and post her answers for you.

Don't be shy, if you need advice or want any tips, fire away....

I'll post some of her "recommended" recipes up when she gets home

Ask her if she knows anything about a dish called "The emperor's pie". I have been trying to make it for months. All attempts failed

I don't suppose that any such thing exists, but I'd love to get a recipe for Nesselrode pudding that doesn't take all day to make and doesn't require the resources of a major restaurant's kitchen. I love Nesselrode pudding and I'd love to serve it to my friends, but all of the recipes I have seen so far are very intimidating.(I suppose that now I'll learn that I can buy "Jell-o Instant Nesselrode pudding" at the supermarket, eh ?)
