Winston, I love it! Could an Englishman's dog be named anything else?

But yes, dogs do quite well around here with plenty of room to roam. Sometimes too much and they can't be found for some time...

    "Winston!"

    "Winstonnnnn!"

    "Here boy!........"

    Gone.

    A B und B exchange program perhaps?

Your green patch looks of the "finest kind" as we say around here...

:-D I am rather a green nut...he he..I admit I know all the progress/health of ALL of my plants & trees...and giving rather individual treatment/care in consideration to their growth rate/age, feeding requirements, pruning, watering etc.
I love my plants and they know it. ....Sounds crazy...but plants also respond to your aura. I always touch my plants lovingly and especially tell them when they are looking especially fine. (same concept really as I treat my partner & cats.. )....or course you still need to put in the genuine 'care'.

This may sound rather terrible...but I think if more parents (in these modern times) took as much care as some of us gardeners (& pet owners) in relation to their own offspring...the new youth/upcoming future adults would be in a healthier state.
This present trend/phase of feeding children take away & oven/microwave instant food is a disgrace....and a obvious indication that a hell of alot of modern parents are lazy, irresponsible and non-caring..: ....(getting off the original subject)...just makes me angry though.

The nature here is indeed quick to revert to it's older ways if the tending of man is halted....

And yes again, while we are still just grays, purples and evergreens now, by mid summer, color abounds, life is in full swing and it will swallow you if you're not careful!

It only sounds terrible because it is true. :dismay

A commendable effort, you've done very well.
