What Would Be The Style of Your Utopian Home?

Post pictures or renderings of your ideal home after the final war.

What do you imagine our future descendants living in during the Golden Age?

    Traditional?

    Futuristic?

    Or something else?
The third shall be the final and decisive one.

He who knows not, and knows not that he knows not, is a fool - shun him.
He who knows not, and knows that he knows not, is a child - teach him.
He who knows, and knows not that he knows, is asleep - wake him.
He who knows, and knows that he knows, is wise - follow him.

What a strange question. If I had to choose one of your dwellings, I would take the traditional one.

I don't believe there will be a 'final war' that we will survive, and I also don't think there will be a 'Golden Age'. From now on, it is downhill all the way.

Oh, I expect to see an end to the decline within my own lifetime. Things happen surprisingly quickly in the larger scheme of things.

As for reversing the tide and repairing the damage ... well, I would be foolishly optimistic if I expected that that is something I will be around to participate in.

I don't expect to see a final war, or Steel Storm, or Ragnarök. I expect to see Balkan-type conflicts all over Europe.

Of course, once our people wake up and actually begin to fight back, we will win each and every conflict, battle and war, because of our superior courage, discipline, organisation and technical knowhow. The one advantage the Mud has is their superior numbers, which even in the days when warfare was much more primitive than it is today, never was a guarantee of victory.

When will this happen? No idea. But it WILL happen ... or rather it must, or we'll become extinct and the Darkness will begin.

In the case that we ultimately are defeated by corruption from within, I'd like to see at least one final stand. I'd want us to die in our boots, as we say in this country.

But that of course is less preferable than the second alternative; our Rebirth and restoration to glory.

    i think personal experience
    and world history
    support your expectation
    .

    on some occasions,
the "best and brightest" must find new territory
to continue the ascent of man.

    Why so pessimistic Loki?

The history of humanity is a great book, I can not wait to see the final chapter. I promise a new book will be written.

Things will start looking up around the 2020s. I assure you.

Romanticism is a virtue of the dying race. No more it will be, when we are gone.

I hope you are right, but at the moment all evidence points to the opposite: failure.

I don't think we appreciate in how much sh*te we are at the moment. We are in deep... and I think we can only look to future 'success' if we accept that our blood lines will be irrevocably polluted in years to come. I do not see this as success.

    if we form our communities
    and raise our children properly,
    this need not be true.

    What makes you say that?

Anyway, I will be the first to post my home in the future golden age, as I believe in reincarnation, I will surely see the golden age, (we all will even if not in this lifetime) and of course it's the natural order of things that a new golden age will come to pass. Plus, in 2012, we finally move into the age of aquarius, and on into intelligent and idealistic times!

It's on a heavily wooded spot, with farmland and near a large body of water and the mountains.

Or, I might just build myself and my family a megalithic type structure to live in.

Or maybe a little bit of both... 1:

I will also plant a Germanian style grove too. Lots of tall straight oak trees, and in the middle of the grove a temple in honor of the gods for late night celebrations.

Let's not be grandiose. Bigger structures will be more for religious, public, and governing purposes. The concept of a huge manor or mansion for only one person or family will be eradicated.

Plus, the effects of the Age of Aquarius don't come in to full force right on or after 2012. It will take a while to see the effects. The sun will not rise completely inside the constellation of Aquarius, It will be a few hundred years untill its at the center. Right now it's only crossing the border.

Hmm I think you misunderstand me, I dont want a huge castle or anything, I can't possibly take care of such a huge house. But I would like to incorporate megalithic elements in my surroundings. They would be more for public uses, as with the old stonehenge, or the pyramids. As I have seen in the past, I myself am happy to even live in a one room dwelling, but I have a child already and another is not far off- and my family is not predicted to stop growing any time soon. If the golden age comes withint this lifetime we will need a few bedrooms to accomodate all of us. Plus I was thinking I would include more extended members of the family like my parents and brother, and his future family. What's the use of beautiful surroundings if not some nice people to share it with? :

The Grove and Temple is of course open to everyone in the village.
