    Post Re: Classify Roger Moore

Very Nordid English actor. Also somewhat difficult to give a precise classification. Bruenn elements from an intermediary Nordic blend seem very minimal. His features are very refined and not at all rugged, he is actually older than Sean Connery, which points to a more Nordid direction. There is a marked skeletal relief to his facial plain which gives the impression of a Germanic description but there is something else that gives him the distinctive "English" appearance. My guess is Anglo-Saxon augmented with Keltic Nordic. Perhaps half and half. I don't think he is Troender because of the absence of any real substantial Bruenn component which might show up in a broadened forehead and more prominent jaw with overall exagerated facial features. We also need to define what Troender is. Is it merely a Skandanavian equivelent to the Anglo-Saxon? The difference being cultural/liguistic, and regional.

    Please classify him.

I know that his phenotype has been discussed in the past. I still want to hear what you have to say. There are also some new knowledgeable members.

I think that he epitomise ideal Europid characteristics. He had, as a young man, a very balanced handsome face and an athletic body. I like his classic look, and the quiff is also cool.

It is difficult to determine his hair colour. It changes (I assume depending on the light) from dark golden blond to auburn or mousey brown, and in some pictures it even appears dark brown. He is surely golden though. He probably has naturally wavy hair. Eyes look pure blue.

He has florid skin, but he can also tan quite well.

How do you classify him? He does look very (SE)-English.

All I am sure of is that I have seen similar looking Germans and Danes.

Moore, is what i call typical "Germanic english" . When i think of the anglo-saxon invasions from the Schleswig-Holstein , after the fall of the Roman empire in Britannia(500 a.D), i like to image them like Moore (phenotypically). Well, perhaps, my imagination is a bit idealistic................

Maybe some Corded influence? Anglo-Saxon ideally. I remember Lance Armstrong was said to be quite corded in appearance and I can see some similarities between the two.

I would say Hallstatt with some minor Borreby influence. Mainly because of his rather flat occiput and his somewhat broader face. However it could of course also be classical Anglo-Saxon.

I don't think that he has Corded influence because of his low forehead.

Which racial type was it that has been said to have the forehead furrows like that? You know, the way the skin wrinkles up like a bulldog? I read about it once, but I forget which type it is associated with. He looks to have a cleft chin which is generally associated with Brunn, although someone on this forum claims it is found amongst meds as well. He might be right, but I've never read/heard anything about that. (I am far from expert also, and I am wrong about a great many things. )

Anyhow, I'd generally say Nordid-Brunn with something else, that I'm not too sure of.

I've been coming to think Moore could fit into a troender category. He is very nordid but certainly not the most nordid you might find in England. If you take a younger John Wayne and dilute him down with Nordic you might be left with someone like Roger Moore.
