I'm not sure how to set up a poll here (if I am even able to yet.) I know this is a controversial (and divisive) issue within the Psychological community, and those who seek to define Mind and Consciousness. But I would be interested to see how many have :
A) Read Julian Jaynes "The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind." - Think he was a crackpot.
B) Read Julian Jaynes "The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind." - Think that though portions of his material is dated, and parts refutable; that his primary theory is strong and most likely true."
C) Read Julian Jaynes "The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind." - Treat it as a religious text, and adhere to his ideas Fundamentally.
D) Never heard of it - Dont care.
E) Never heard of it - what is it?
F) Me **** dont read no book, **** intellectual Nordicist! (IOW, dont confuse me, I'm playing with myself/I can barely read enough to navigate the Internet.)
Comments, analysis, and perceptions of Julian Jayne's work is welcome: especially from a Racialist perspective.
