Anyway, it´s completely unbiased. German population is a mix of different Germanic sub-races like Nordid, Borreby or Alpine. A low percentage has slavic or celtic influence, but they have assimilated very well. Germany is in the geographical center of Europe and has a long history. The "holy Roman Empire of German nation" was nothing more than a loose political boundary of different states and more or less independent duchies and kingdoms at the lowest common denominator. While the aristocracy marriaged with each other there was no significant population exchange. People back then wasn´t that mobile and had to pledge allegiance with their masters as serfs generally.

So the sentence "What a shock then, that Germans are mutts, whether in Europe or America"" has to be seen as what it is: Exemplary nonsense. Non-European influence among Germans is scarcely perceptible.
I don't think he's anti-German, it just seems he joined the forum while it has bombarded with a few German members going on about some supposed "superiority" in more than one thread. Like I mentioned to some of the Staff before, allowing those kind of posts in threads makes the forum look really bad, and confuse people. I don't think he has anything against Germans, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was confused about forum's stance or member's overall views on such things when you have some members (the most prominent posters being German) being allowed to make untrue, inflammatory remarks about other Europeans.

Auduid, if you are anti-German, then excuse this post.

    Clarification necessary

I don't get it. Does this chant have something to do with the Dresden bombing? Are you making fun of Germany for being part of the EU with England, who bombed Dresden terribly? Clarification is warranted.

    Go to this link: http://hansmast.com/

Look at Hans Mast, a devout Mennonite, on the left side of the screen.

Now as far as dark and swarthy goes this is a bad example...he has blonde hair. But another aspect of this is definitely the odd facial look, especially the eyes. The eyes are large, very far apart, and have this droopy and tilted look. Add to this a smaller face and body than this guy and very dark eye coloring and hair and you might be able to get the feel for the look.

It's a bad example, I think I can see it just because I know what the real thing looks like so I see it in him a little.
I would like to see some of these strange examples of PA Germans. Could you provide a better description? Wide set eyes are a sign of something foreign. Don’t forget that there are some Italians in Pennsylvania.

The Amish inbreed. They do not breed with outsiders. Some pictures of the Amish I found.

According to whom? Wide set eyes are prevalent among many Germanic sub-races.

Eyes spread far apart don't look foreign to you?

The lady is a Swedish German Jew.

...I know there are Italians in PA. There are also tons of Ricans. What's your point? That the PA Dutch intermarried with Italians?

Anyhoo, and this goes for everyone, go back and find the picture that Ulf posted. The second one. The older man to the far right has the look I am talking about that has a common appearance amongst the PA Dutch here. I doubt anyone can look at that guy and say he looks 100% Deutsch. Maybe he is, but it's weird as hell.

It has nothing to do with my personal opinion. Wide set eyes are not foreign to Germanics, they're actually quote common. They can look foreign in conjunction with other uncommon or non-European features, but they're not 'foreign' by themselves.

Here are some Germanics with wide-set eyes:

    German: (left man)

    English:

Why are the Norwegians darker than the Swedes?

It’s possible. Anytime there is no barrier or isolation there will always be some kind of breeding outside ethnicity.

He looks reduced but nothing unusual about him from that picture.

First, I don’t consider the English to be Germanic but instead Celtic with Germanic influence. That’s off-topic so I shouldn’t go there. This thread should be about Germans.

That English girl could have Armenoid influence.

    German/Swedish:
The picture is not really good. She looks a little unusual for me.

They just are, generally, due to a predominance of CM versus a predominance of Hallstatt strains, respectively. Or so I heard (and seen). No?
