I once made a "gun" with some wood, a BIC pen and a pen coilspring. It suposedly used primers as detonating load and airgun bullets as projectiles. I never had the guts to use it and my father forunately dismantled my project before I achieved courage.

Silencers wouldn't be of any use against Obama, silencers don't help you kill someone, just help you escape detection, which won't happen if the target is Obama. Anyone with a couple brain cells could easily kill McCain or Obama, they just wouldn't get away with it.
