Question Predominance of Alpinic Features Amongst Poles

Do you find Poles to be mainly of the Alpinic sub-group? I do.

Most Poles appear to me to be short to medium in height, stocky, with short, flat, round faces and very fleshy facial features. The hair seems to be largely brunette, straight, coarse, and thinning in males. The eyes are generally medium to dark brown, and the skin is very tanned and almost sallow looking.

I think a lot depends on what part of Poland we're talking about. I wouldn't be surprised if Poland is similar to Germany in that Alpines are more common in the south and as one heads north, the people become more fair of eye & hair and longer of face.

There are a lot of temporary Polish workers in Iceland, from what I know they are not from any particular region. Most of them look like slightly Dinaricised eastern Cromagnids(Baltic type) to me. The men are generally not pleasing to look at(no offence) whereas the women are very attractive.

Generally I would say, British people are sensitive to the lesser skin vascularity of Eastern Europeans; short or very round skulls; overly convex or overly concave noses.

Interesting Polish profile I found, clash of Baltic & Dinaric maybe Pontic too. His nose can't decide what it wants to do, neither can his forehead. High vault.

Poles like many Europeans have many typical looks, also depending on region, social type etc. But one thing which seems to be more common among them in comparison to f.e. Germans is that they have more often rather flat occiputs and less facial-body hair on average.

Even if they have clear Nordid influences, they have, in my personal experience and as observed by people I know, less often the longer headshapes - the typical Western low-long-rounded head, with a somewhat ellipsoid shape.
