    Worst Films/TV Series/Documentaries You Saw

    Saving Private Ryan

Opening with the Allied invasion of Normandy on 6 June 1944, members of the 2nd Ranger Battalion under Cpt. Miller fight ashore to secure a beachhead. Amidst the fighting, two brothers are killed in action. Earlier in New Guinea, a third brother is KIA. Their mother, Mrs. Ryan, is to receive all three of the grave telegrams on the same day. The United States Army Chief of Staff, George C. Marshall, is given an opportunity to alleviate some of her grief when he learns of a fourth brother, Private James Ryan, and decides to send out 8 men (Cpt. Miller and select members from 2nd Rangers) to find him and bring him back home to his mother...

/\ And then later they come across a Steamboat Willy, Betty Boop loving, Hitler hating German who is a squirmy gutless worm of a solider.

Probably the worst films are all the drug, sex, college films made by Jews like Judd Apatow (Knocked Up) and the Weitz brothers (American Pie).

Kingdom of Heaven was pretty horrible with the constant multicultural propaganda running like a red thread throughout the whole movie. Historic movies where the director passes judgement on the characters and their actions by using modern standards of morality, I think, is absurd and an abomination.

"The Tudors". It should be described as historical fiction. I dislike any movie/series which rewrites history for entertainment purposes, the Tudors is just the most recent example.

Saving Ryans Privates was also a horrible flick.

I will stick my head over the fence and declare my love for Saving Private Ryan.
I thought it was a very good film.

/\ From an allied standpoint the movie is spectacular and really makes you appreciate the brotherhood and camaraderie amongst US soliders. The gritty battle scenes were some of the most realistic in terms of experiencing the hell of war. From the German side though, the movie falls flat. As one of the most organized and disciplined armies in history the tactics and combat maneuvers employed by the Germans in the film were historically inaccurate to the point of being laughable. The Steamboat Willy German was portrayed as disloyal and a coward. That isn't to say no Germans met these characteristics, but as the only German we get to know in the movie, it cements the idea of the squirmy Germans into the minds of audiences. Not much of a surprise considering the films Jewish director, Steven Spielberg, also created such anti-German films as Schindler List. Totally explains the scene in SPR where the Jew holds up his star of David necklace and repeats "Juden", the German word for Jew, to the passing German captives.

But then why would you expect an American director to not paint a black and white picture of D-day, it's not the job of American directors to be fair and balanced towards their country's former enemies, they're out to make an entertaining movie where the film viewers can feel for their own, the good guys, and shove their fist in anger at those evil nazi Germans. Documentaries can sometimes attain a balance, movies seldom if ever do. If anything, it is unfortunate that Germans have to endure German-made movies taking place in that period, that show the Germans from the same allied perspective, and see their own people being ridiculed or portrayed as monsters. I think that's a bigger problem than Americans being unapologetically patriotic about their own war effort.

Before Schindler's List, movies like A Bridge Far Away, Under 7 Flags, Cross of Iron and even a biography of Rommel were far more fair. Germans were depicted as the "bad guys" but it wasn't in the "evil reincarnated" way, actually in all the movies I mentioned in none of them the Holocaust is mentioned, nor there's criticism against Hitler's dictatorship directly. Burning Paris is a French movie and Germans are depicted as the enemy, not like Satan. Modern WWII movies only deal with the "obscure" side of NS and the poor jew trying to scape from the ghetto.

ONe of the worst movies I've seen is one with Omar Shariff, I can't recall the name, but he played as Gengis Khan. His wife was blonde, the Chinese emperor had a very English face (blue eyes included) and in one scene Gengis was suposedly in a tent in the middle of nowhere laying in bed with his wife and he's shown stretching his right arm to turn of the light in the tent... but how?! It's imposible for him to have an electric lamp in those days:p:p. The part in which Gengis is shown gunpowder is quite hilarious too.
