Cheddar Man

Old news to some, new news to others:


In 1997 scientists established a blood tie between a 9,000-year-old skeleton discovered in 1903 known as "Cheddar Man" and an English schoolteacher who lives just a half mile from the cave where the bones were found. Scientists compared the DNA from one of Cheddar Man's molars to that of scrapings taken from the mouths of 20 local Cheddarites, and Targett was a match.

Adrian Targett, a history teacher in the town of Cheddar in southwest England, shares a common ancestor with Cheddar Man. It is the longest human lineage ever traced.

The skeleton was originally dated at between 40,000 and 30,000 years old.

His cheekbones retract much more than seen in Combe Capelle and the face is lower and broader than recapture its ancestral form, but the mesolithics happen to mix in their phenotype both Cromagnid as Capellid features.
The gonial angles, while possibly more a speciality seen in the North African Mechtoids, an excess enlarging the face more dramatically, have become explicitly distributed among the UP races since the Magdalénians.
The blunt chin is simply Combe Capelle or a Proto-Mediterrenean trait and while both Cheddar and Combe Capelle are dolichocranial, they're not like Cro Magnon longish and flat-vaulted, but arching, the occipital region less jutting, actually more steep and rounded, like Chancelade; the latter contributed in the opinion of Germa
