Tyr Statuette

I've never seen this one before. I've seen similar horned helmets in the Danish archaeology. These dated from 1200 B.C.
Interestingly horned helmets and circular shield only occur in the archaeological record around 1200 B.C.
Of further interest is that they appear around the Mediterranean at around the same time. The Egyptian freezes ar Medinet Habbu describe the sudden emergence of an alien sea borne people laying the land waste. They have round shield, danish swords and horned helmets. The subject is explored further in Jurgen Spanuths book "Atlantis of the North". His theory is that climate change in Scandinavia caused by a volcanic eruption initiated a forgotten "viking age" at that same point in time. Very plausible and a forgotten chapter in our peoples history.
